FA MAG 2015

Wow!  I am so proud to be part of this great community.  The first ever FishAholics Meet And Greet (FA MAG) was a great success.  We had a great turnout.  It was held at the Oniel Forebay near Los Banos, CA.  

The early bird mini meet had a great turn out as well. It was held for the anglers that wanted to fish the morning bite. FishAholics filled the entry way from the pay station all the way pass the curve.  The park opened at 6am and we had members waiting in line at 4am.  Crazy!

Fishing that day was hit n miss.  Some reported excellent fishing while others weren’t able to land any.  The boaters scored while trolling and casting lures.  Tony was able to land this nice striper while trolling and Christopher had a double hitter on his rod.  But the boaters weren’t the only ones getting in on the action.  Armando and his son were able to score some stripers from shore as well.  Believe it or not, the biggest fish came from shore.  

 

Some of our members who made it to the FA MAG did have minor setbacks. Such as a stolen car the night before.  Our Antelope Valley members had a trailer tire tread separation.  They were stranded hundreds of miles away from home and the meet.  But like all FishAholics, they were persistent and persevered.  They  made it.

Meet the FishAholics Pro Staff Team plus one.  They all played a big role in the success of the FA MAG.  Awesome work guys.

There was a lot of love and support from the FA community.  We had all sorts of prizes up for grabs too.  From fishing poles to lures to fishing grips, it was a great day indeed.  Pro Staffer Melanie and her assistant Rene aka Big Sexy spent more than an hour raffling away prizes.  A big thank you goes out to everyone who donated prizes for the raffle.  You guys are awesome.

 

Who can forget the food!  The bring-a-dish raffle for a Go Pro was a big success.  We had more food than people to eat it. Almost everyone brought a dish.  We have to thank the two Grill Masters Shoua (left) and Cha (Right) for manning the grill all day. The food was cooked perfectly.

And finally we have the group photos.  FishAholics you guys are the greatest.  Fishing brought us together but you all give life to this community.  It was great to finally meet members in person. The atmosphere was positive like a big family reunion. Everyone just clicked.
