It’s been awhile since I’ve written on here but here’s my fishing report from a recent trip.  The day before, I checked the wind finder app and it said the wind was low.  Maximum gust would be around 8mph.  I thought great!  Going to be an awesome trip. Fishing Report: San Luis Reservoir August 12, 2018

I remember going over the game plan with  Victor on our way to San Luis Reservoir.  I told him we’re gonna hit Portuguese Cove then try the Dinosaur Point area cause I know some flats over there that’ll hit when the water level gets this low. Fishing Report: San Luis Reservoir February 11, 2018

When I take FishAholics members fishing on my boat or when I fish out there solo, I’ve never been able to stay consistent with the number of striped bass caught out of San Luis Reservoir.  Some trips I’ll be in the 20-30 stripers caught and the very next visit I’ll be in the single digits to low 10’s.  It’s never consistent.  But I’ve been fortunate in keeping my catching consistent.  I think experience plays a role but the ability to use a rig that mimics a school of bait fish like the Atlas…Read more …
